A few poems that didn't really fit into any categories....
That doesn't mean there not just as important as the others, lol. Stop poem discrimination! l.o.l. Enjoy! (Oh ya, the sketch of the two hands is mine. It's my hand against my friend Mich's. Worked good cuz my hands are pathetically small, and his are pretty big.)

Impressions, Life and Lving, Gold and Brass (Parts I, II, and III)
I
Where I used to walk the grass was green...
Trees like gentle guardians shrouded in dress of leaves, watched and protected, guardian angels in disguise...
Shielding innocence enjoying life so simple, reaching to the heavens, perfectly naïve, safe and contented...
Pasts too short to hold regret untouched by a world, hatred, resentment, sorrow unknown, golden child like joy...
Untouched, untarnished, untainted warmed by the sun, reflecting each smile, sung to and rocked by the wind...
II
Where I walk now the grass is gone...
Streets of stone cold, gray, so lifeless, echo back my steps, alone and empty...
A few solitary trees leafless, naked, shivering, trying so hard to stand, no longer protecting, now seeking care...
Pasts too long, regret crept in world now tainted, harsh, cruel, reality seen, once golden now brass...
No sun to warm the ache just isolated pain, the wind no longer sings, but howls bitter and cold...
III
Where I will walk The grass still grows...
The trees stand strong conquering, majestic, fear unknown, protection unneeded, shelter, companionship never withheld...
Past innocence, present pain lost not forgotten, give way to understanding, calming inward peace remains...
A world departed once old now new, sorrow, death, pass away, golden hearts refined...
Removed, released, reborn ever present warmth, embrace, never again alone, undone, as the wind whispers your name...
We Held Hands
The day we met I knew we’d be friends forever, and we held hands. When we were happy And running through our childhood wonderlandsof imagination, we held hands. When we were afraid of the changes in life we faced them together, and we held hands. When we were sad or lonely we’d cry together, and we held hands. And when you laughed I laughed, when you cried I cried, when you smiled I smiled, and through it all, we still held hands. Now the road you must travel stretches ahead and you reach out your hand, but I can’t reach it. But I know it’s okay because even though we may no longer be able to hold hands, it’s allright, we hold hearts.

Dreams
A glow as dim as firefly light, Comes from the round harvest moon, Shadows playing on your face, The lonely cry of a loon.
Slowly a shape wings ‘cross the air, Cutting the clouds straight through, You think it’s nothing, but a bird, But, oh, if you only knew.
A bird is not just all it is, Nor ever could it be, It’s the spirit itself of the dreams you dream, Flying high and free.
So look at it in silent wonder, Thinking that it’s just a bird, When truly, Though you do not see it, Your dreams fly high, To you unheard.

Innocence
There’s an empty heart next to mine, Where once was laughter smiling, Now cold and empty without use, The laughter gone and dying.
Once a place of joy and love, Filled with ever hopeful dreams, Now but silence, wreathed in sorrow, Least to me it seems.
Where went that once happy heart, Full of youthful, joyous life, Drowned out by a much hardened world, Where nothing lives, excepting strife.
Once I knew as if a friend, Childish innocence which is now gone, If we could only hold on a little longer, But, darkness always takes the dawn.

Waves
Your brought up well, Both strong and proud, Through the short sweet time of your youth, Then slowly, unoticed, you startto fade, Crumbling through and through, And Time steps in, Taking his hold, To bring you down at last, ‘Til you’re nothing, but a silvery wave, Upon this shore of sand.

Silence
I let the silence flood my soul, The wind tenderly kisses my cheek, My hair blows gently across my neck, No words I need to speak.
I can smell the scent of the strongsalt sea, And hear now the gentle lap of thewaves, The light shrill of a lonely gull, As the silence slowly floods my soul.

Lullaby of Peace
Hush my child, you need not weep, hush my child, now fall to sleep, I will hold you, close and tight, love will rock you, through the night, kiss your warm, and worried brow, let you know, it’s all right now, I am with you, don’t be sad, love will protect you, don’t be scared, hush my child, now do not weep, for I am here now, my love is with you, as you sleep.

Merry-Go-Round
Spilling drops of water as I walk the wrong way on a merry-go-round I found myself wondering why?
Brightly painted horses in rainbow colored dreams blur my vision as they circle and pass by.
Endless rythmic driving song plays my life repeating repeating, repeating happy though it’s sad as it flies by.
I keep walking the wrong way on this merry-go-round and spilling drops of water as I continue to ask myself why?
